To clear one thing up before I continue – No, you are not becoming an “employee” of Google. And no, Google is not going to pay you to work from home. However, by helping promote some of Google’s programs, you can make money.

Step 1 in order to make money with Google, you need a website. This could be a simple blog through a publishing tool such as Blogger or WordPress. It could also be a corporate website, or a small business site that you sell products and services through. If you already have a website, then congratulations! You are one step closer. If not, there are plenty of different hosting services available that can let you up a site very cheaply, or even for free. Aim to get your site set up without having to spend anything, after all, the point here is to make money!

Step 2 is signing up for the Google AdSense program. This places Google’s sponsored ads on your very own website. You can make money with Google each time one of the ads on your site is clicked, although the amount you make per click will change depending on the ad. The ads put on your site will be related to the written material on your site, so if you want ads to appear with the highest payment per click, I’d suggest a little bit of research. My Story:

Adsense

Adwords

Adwords is basically the opposite of Adsense, but in my opinion, it is much more profitable. This DOES take some marketing knowledge, so if this isn’t what you want to do, I recommend you scroll down to the other guide now.

When you use Adwords, YOU will be the one creating the advertisements, and you will be paying other people for clicks. Why would you want to pay for clicks? It’s simple, you take that click, and try to turn it into a sale. Now you have just turned a $.50 click into a $40 sale. But not all clicks convert into sales. This totally depends on you, the marketer. That is your main job, converting clicks into sales. I could write you a ten page long guide on this subject and I’d still just be scratching the surface.

This is a great way to learn how to earn money with Google, but it does take time and patience. It also takes a fair amount of startup capital. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, be prepared to drop about $50 to $100 on a good Adwords guide, then you will still need at least $500 in startup funds to make any real money with this method.

If this sounds a little too rich for you, don’t sweat it. I didn’t start out with this method either. Actually, I started out using only Adsense and free blog sites (which I don’t recommend). To make money with Google, you need to first have an Adsense account. You can go to Adsense.com to signup for an account. It doesn’t cost anything, it’s very easy to set up. Adsense works by showing ads on your website that are relevant to whatever content you are writing about. If you are writing about cars, then car ads will show up on your site, and so on. This is great because your visitors will be shown advertisements that cater to their interests, which means that they will be more likely to click on them. The more they click, the more money you make.

Enough abstact information, lets get down to business. First, you need to start keeping track of the highest paying keywords. There are many websites you can do this at, but for now, just use AdsenseHeaven.com. I wouldn’t use the first 100 or so, because the competition will simply be too much. Find a few terms that you think you could keep up with on the competition. Do Google searches for them, and try to find keywords with less than 1,000,000 results. This is a pretty easy amount of pages to outrank, if you know what you are doing. You will be making money with Google in no time at all.

Now you need to find some longtails for your keywords. Longtails are very specific terms that relate to your term. Once you have about 50, you should start writing 1-2 articles about each phrase. Soon you will have about 75 articles ready to put on your website. You should get a wordpress plugin to do this automatically, so you will get new content each day. Also, you can just write a new post to your blog everyday. This will be just as good.

If you are wanting to start making money with Google now, then you need to place Adsense ads on your website. You should really find a guide on how to do this correctly, because it would take me all day to explain.

To start making money with Google, you first need to create a website. I recommend using Blogger to create a blog. You can blog about anything that interests you. It can be political, financial, sports based… anything you want to blog about. The key is to pick a topic that you will be able to blog about at least 3 times per week. Once you have a topic, go to Blogger.com and create a blog. You will now be able to write your first post. The trick here is to try and pick a few keywords that you think will get searched for a lot, and try to include those in your writing. This is called SEO, or search engine optimization. This is the fundamental way to make money with Google.

Once you have a blog created, install the Adsense widget. This is located in the layout section of Blogger. When you enable this widget, and have an Adsense account, Adsense ads will automatically be placed on your blog. If anyone clicks on these ads, you will be paid! You can expect to get anywhere from $0.10 to $1 per click on most ads and keywords.

Now, you have a blog, you have ads on it, but no one has even read this blog yet! What do you do? How can you start making money with Google if you never get any traffic to your website? That’s the key. You need traffic now. The easiest way to get traffic is by blogging as much as you can. Daily would be great. You can also use social bookmarking websites to get backlinks to your blog, which in turn, will increase its position in the Search engines. This is a more advanced technique though, so for now, you need to just focus on blogging on good topics.

Anyways, the point of this post is just to let you know what I’m doing up at midnight on a friday night. I’m making money with Google, of couse! So far tonight I have only worked for about 45 minutes, and I’ve already made over $100. Tell me a job where you can make that much money sitting at home. Go on, do it. You can’t! If you don’t have a exceptional will to prosper, then the Google money system may not be good for you.  You have to put forth into the system to see nice return out of it.  That is what makes it legit, in my opinion.  It isn’t one of those get rich quick tricks.  It actually does take very much tough work.

I sure hope all of that is true, because I really need some extra cash at the moment. My rent is almost due, and I’m already in debt $400.
